Welcome to the community of women of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, affectionately known as Grace Girls. The Grace Girl community offers a gathering place for imperfect women learning to lean on a perfect God. Each of us has a past with some less than pretty moments and even some ugly mistakes – but because of God’s generous love for us, we all have grace for a beautiful future. No matter what we’ve gotten wrong in the past, or even what missteps we’re making in the present, every day is a new opportunity to be better than the day before.

I’m so happy that you’re here. If you’re new, I’m especially excited that you’re taking a moment to learn more about the Grace Girl community.

It is my prayer that you discover a safe place to grow deeper in Christ, become the woman God has called you to be, and build meaningful connections with other like-hearted women who can walk alongside you in your journey.

The Grace Girl community exists to remind you that you are seen, loved, and called by God. We can’t wait to grow, serve, and pursue Him together.

WHAT IS A GRACE GIRL?
Grace Girl is more than a name—it’s a community of women who are committed to growing in Christ and becoming all that God has called them to be. A Grace Girl is intentional about her faith, grounded in her identity in Christ, and passionate about walking alongside other women in their journey. Together, we pursue spiritual growth, authentic connection, and lives that reflect God’s love and purpose.
A Grace Girl is:
A woman who pursues a deep and personal relationship with Christ through intentional discipleship and spiritual discipline.
A woman who understands her identity in Christ and lives with purpose, allowing His light to shine through every area of her life.

Admit that you have missed the mark.
The Bible tells us that no one is righteous, not even one. If you have missed the mark, accept that you have fallen short and know that God has provided a way for you to be made whole.

Believe in
your heart.
Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead. Believe in your heart that He is who He says He is. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins, and was raised from the dead so that you may have everlasting life with Him.

Confess your belief
to others.
Publicly confess Jesus as Lord by proclaiming your faith and relationship to others.
